The Smiths- How Soon Is Now? HQ

January 28th, 2012

DISCLAIMER: I do not own the song “How soon is now”. It is owned by The Smiths and their label. “How Soon Is Now?” is a song by the British alternative rock band The Smiths. Written by Smiths singer Morrissey and guitarist Johnny Marr, it was originally a B-side of the 1984 single “William, It Was Really Nothing”. “How Soon Is Now?” was subsequently featured on the compilation album Hatful of Hollow and on American, Australian and Warner UK editions of the group’s second album Meat Is Murder (1985). It was belatedly released as a single in the UK in 1985, where it reached number 24 on the UK Singles Chart. Sire Records chief Seymour Stein called it “the ‘Stairway to Heaven’ of the Eighties”, while co-writer Johnny Marr described it as “possibly our most enduring record. It’s most people’s favourite, I think.” Despite its prominent place in The Smiths’ repertoire, however, it is not generally considered to be representative of the band’s style. Although a club favourite, “How Soon Is Now?” did not chart as well as writers Morrissey and Marr had expected. Most commentators put this down to the fact that the song had been out on vinyl in a number of forms before being released as a single in its own right. The original track runs for nearly seven minutes; however, the 7″ single edit cut the length down to under four minutes. The complete version is generally used on compilations. The song has been widely praised for the artistry of its lyrics. How soon is now: I am the son

Hacking Cable TV – Is That The Only Way To Watch Free Cable TV?

January 27th, 2012

Artistry

If you are thinking of hacking cable TV, chances are you are sick of paying the monthly subscription fees to your cable television providers. I understand where you are coming from but there is another way. Not only can you watch live cable channels for free, it is also legal and reliable.

So how do you do that? It is by using satellite TV software for PC. The software turns your PC or laptop into an entertainment system by streaming live satellite TV channels directly to your computer. These are not the typical episode downloads but the video feeds are live. What you need for the software to work is a computer and a broadband connection.

A typically cable TV system will give you access to a little more than 300 live channels. However, a good satellite TV software offers more than 3000 channels world wide for you to choose from in different languages. You will be spoilt for choice, something that you cannot obtain even by hacking cable TV.

Another good point about these kinds of software is that it comes only with a one-time fee. Yes, one-time payment. That means you only need to pay for the software and can use it to watch live satellite TV feeds at the comfort of your home or in a cafe with a WIFI connection, free of charge, for as long as you want. It is not bound by monthly subscription fee, not dependent on any expensive satellite/cable TV equipment and not restricted by geographical location. You can use the software anywhere in the world.

Do read reviews on the software before you purchase. The software should cost no more than $50. A real bargain compared to the money and effort involved in hacking cable TV.

This film documents the story of Acho Namgyal, a blind musician who dominated the musical scene of Lhasa in the 1930’s. His superb artistry and musical talent revitalized the classical music genres of Nangma and Thoeshey. The blind son of a poor family, Acho Namgyal was discovered when he was a toddler by a nobleman who took pity on him. Determined to help, the nobleman offered the young child an education and the opportunity to better himself. As Acho Namgyal pursued his studies, he astonished his teachers with his talent for music. Acho Namgyal eventually became the most sought after musician in Lhasa. His ensemble included two outstanding women singers, who were nicknamed Cat and Crow. Under his leadership, the Nangma Kyidug (association), which originated under the patronage of the Fifth Dalai Lama, flourished once more in Lhasa.
